Kendrick Lamar will be joined by Grammy-winning singer SZA at the Super Bowl halftime show. The announcement came with a trailer released by Lamar and Apple Music on Thursday, showing him walking on a football field when SZA playfully splashed him from behind. Lamar and SZA will lead the halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.

SZA, who was once signed to Lamar’s former label, Top Dawg Entertainment, collaborated with him on his latest album, “GNX.” She contributed to tracks like “Gloria” and “Luther,” the latter also featuring sampled vocals from Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn’s “If This World Were Mine.”

The two artists have previously worked together on hits like the Oscar-nominated “All the Stars” and “Doves in the Wind.”

In addition to the Super Bowl performance, Lamar and SZA will co-headline a 19-city North American tour this spring and summer. The tour will start on April 19 in Minneapolis and wrap up on June 18 in Washington, D.C.

SZA is heading into the February 2 Grammys with two nominations for her single “Saturn” in the Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance categories. She has won a total of four Grammy Awards in her career.

Kendrick Lamar heads into the upcoming Grammys with seven nominations, including for his tracks “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, and “Not Like Us,” which is up for both Song and Record of the Year. He has won a total of 17 Grammy Awards.

The halftime show will be co-executive produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins. Lamar’s performance will be creatively directed by pgLang, the company he co-founded with Dave Free, who has directed several of Lamar’s music videos.

Last year, Usher delivered a memorable halftime show featuring guest appearances from H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and Alicia Keys.
