Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers brought plenty of drama — and not just on the ice.
Pop icon Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, were spotted among the crowd at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday night. The couple, seen holding hands on their way to their seats, were part of the celebrity buzz surrounding the event.
They were in for a memorable game. The Oilers pulled off an incredible comeback, erasing a 3-goal deficit from the first period to defeat the Panthers 5-4 in overtime, evening the series at 2-2.
Kelce, a Super Bowl champion tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, has long been a hockey fan, a passion he shares with his brother, former NFL center Jason Kelce. Since his high-profile relationship with Swift began in 2023, the 14-time Grammy Award winner has frequently appeared at major sporting events, including the past two Super Bowls — often creating a stir among fans and media.
Speculation had circulated before Game 4 that the couple might make an appearance. A helicopter was seen landing near the arena in Sunrise, Florida, and the VIP entrance was temporarily closed. Even the media elevator was off-limits for a time before warmups, adding to the anticipation.
Their presence was confirmed during the first period when the TV broadcast panned to the couple in the stands.
Off the ice, Swift made headlines recently for a major milestone in her career. In a message posted to her website, she revealed that she now owns the rights to all her recorded music, having acquired her original masters from private equity firm Shamrock Capital. The move follows her years-long campaign to regain control over her early work, which she has been re-recording and releasing under her own label.
Game 4 also drew other big names. Former Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor kicked things off by banging the drum before puck drop. On Monday, Miami Heat captain Bam Adebayo and Heat legend Udonis Haslem took on the same role. Hockey legend Jaromir Jagr was also in attendance.
