Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner, 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic, and world No. 5 Jack Draper have all announced their withdrawal from the upcoming Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto, scheduled to begin next week, due to injuries.

Sinner, currently ranked No. 1, is dealing with a right elbow injury sustained during a fall in the fourth round at Wimbledon, where he went on to claim his first title there and his fourth major overall. He previously won his first Masters 1000 title in Toronto in 2023. Reflecting on that victory, Sinner said it marked the beginning of a special phase in his career, but after consulting with his team, he decided he needs to focus on recovery.

Djokovic is sidelined with a groin injury and has withdrawn from the event he has won on four occasions. Notably, Djokovic was defeated by Sinner in the Wimbledon semifinals.

Meanwhile, Draper will miss both the Toronto Masters and the Cincinnati Masters next month due to an injury to his left arm. This means he won’t participate in any hard-court tournaments before the U.S. Open, which starts on August 24. Draper shared on social media that while the injury is not serious, he needs to ensure full recovery to perform well in the rest of the season, expressing hope to see fans in New York City.
