Krager stated that Pelosi is being well cared for and continues to work, although she regrets not being able to attend the rest of the scheduled events to honor the bravery of U.S. servicemembers. He added that she looks forward to returning to the U.S. soon.

Pelosi’s injury comes just days after Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell, 82, tripped and fell at the U.S. Capitol, sustaining a sprained wrist and a minor cut to his face. A spokesman confirmed that McConnell was cleared to resume his schedule after treatment.
