Paddington Bear, perhaps the most famous Peruvian in fiction, has received a passport from his adopted country, Britain. This passport is issued by the British authorities, and with it Paddington Bear travels back to Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy, as shown in the film’s story.
In the third film in the hit series, in which Paddington Bear is voiced by Ben Whishaw, he travels to Peru. His purpose is to meet Aunt Lucy. Filmmaker Silva said he wrote to the Home Office and requested a fake passport, and the only one he was given was an official passport for Paddington Bear. The passport carries a photo of Paddington, and is listed as ‘Bear’ in the ‘Official Observations’ section.
The film is based on the work of noted children’s author Michael Bond, who created the character Paddington Bear in the 1958 book “A Bear Called Paddington”. The plot is based on the adventures of an orphaned little bear, who travels from Peru to Britain. There he is found at Paddington Station, with a tag saying “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and is subsequently adopted by the Brown family.
In the movie Paddington in Peru, Paddington returns to his homeland to visit his Aunt Lucy. However, upon arriving there, he and the Brown family discover that his Aunt is missing, prompting them to embark on a search for her. The expedition takes them deep into the Amazon rainforest. The film is the third installment after the successful films “Paddington” in 2014 and “Paddington 2” in 2017.
The film is directed by Dougal Wilson, who said he was very nervous when he took on the project. “Paddington 2 is one of the greatest films ever made, and I was so scared,” he told the Radio Times in an interview.
“It’s very difficult to make a third movie after the first two. I really hope we don’t disappoint the fans.”
Paddington in Peru will be released in the UK on November 8, while in the US it will be released on January 17, 2025.
