U.S. chip manufacturer Nvidia has announced a partnership with Humain, an AI startup owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. As part of the deal, Nvidia will supply 18,000 chips to Saudi Arabia to support the development of a new data center.

The collaboration was revealed during a White House visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, where Saudi Arabia has been focusing on advancing its artificial intelligence capabilities and expanding its cloud computing infrastructure with foreign investment.

Jensen Huang, founder of Nvidia, emphasized the importance of AI, likening it to electricity and the internet as critical infrastructure for every nation. “Together with Humain, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realize the Kingdom’s ambitious vision,” he said.

The high-performance Blackwell chips will be deployed in a 500-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia. Nvidia’s first shipment will use its latest GB300 Blackwell chips, which were officially launched earlier this year and are among the company’s most advanced AI technology.
