Middlesbrough are in negotiations to sign striker Kelechi Iheanacho and winger Samuel Iling-Junior on loan for the remainder of the season.

Iheanacho, 28, moved from Leicester to Spanish club Sevilla in the summer but has struggled to make an impact, failing to score in La Liga so far.

Iling-Junior, 21, has also found limited playing time while on loan at Bologna, after making the move from Juventus to Aston Villa in a deal involving midfielder Douglas Luiz. The England Under-21 international previously played in Chelsea’s academy before joining Juventus in 2020.

These potential signings seem to be linked to Middlesbrough’s acceptance of a £22m offer from Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United for star striker Emmanuel Latte Lath. However, Latte Lath has delayed finalizing the move by not agreeing to personal terms.

Middlesbrough, who are currently seventh in the Championship with 29 matches played, will face Sunderland on deadline day (Feb. 3, 20:00 GMT).
