Melania Trump, the future first lady of the United States, announced on Friday the selection of her longtime colleague Haley Harrison for the post of head of the East Wing. Harrison was given the position for playing a key role on Melania Trump’s team for the past seven years, Trump said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).

Harrison’s tenure spans Trump’s years in the White House and later at his residence in Mar- a- Lago, Florida. According to Melania Trump, Harrison has a deep understanding of the workings of the White House and will lead and manage the East Wing team in her new role, as well as coordinate with government agencies.
In an interview on ‘Fox & Friends’ on October 29, Melania said that she is not afraid to go back to the White House because she has previous experience. “Once you get to the White House, you know what to expect,” he said.

“You should have a team of like- minded people with you. They are not just helping you, but serving the country,” she added.

Haley Harrison was named in a lawsuit against Donald Trump last year over the alleged mishandling of classified documents. She was known as ‘Trump Employee 1’. Special counsel Jack Smith has been investigating the case, and the final report of the investigation is likely to come before Trump is sworn in.
Melania Trump has expressed hope that Harrison’s appointment will give a new direction to the work of the East Wing. Under his leadership, efforts will be made to make the White House team more efficient.
