Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are officially engaged. The couple shared the happy news while attending the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday. Good proudly displayed her engagement ring at the event.
The couple explained that they chose to announce their engagement at this particular gala because it’s where they first met. Good recalled meeting Majors in the unisex bathroom at the Ebony Power 100 event.
Majors described the moment as a “season of joy,” while Good added that it’s a “season of all the good things.”
Jonathan Majors, 35, and Meagan Good, 43, first fueled dating rumors in May 2023. The following month, Good was seen attending Majors’ assault trial in New York.
Majors had been arrested in March 2023 after being accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in the back of a car. In December, he was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment but was acquitted of charges of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. Majors had pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Jonathan Majors was sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention program but was able to avoid jail time following his conviction.
Earlier this year, Meagan Good spoke about the challenges she faced during Majors’ trial in an interview with the Today show. She revealed that many of her friends advised against dating him while the trial was ongoing.
However, Good emphasized that she trusted her own instincts and faith in making her decisions. “At the end of the day, I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, trust God, and move to the beat of my own drum,” she said. “Whatever happens, I have peace and harmony in my heart.”
Meagan Good spoke warmly about her relationship with Jonathan Majors, expressing how supportive and fulfilling it has been. She highlighted the mutual support, open conversations, love, respect, care, and thoughtfulness they share, calling it all “really wonderful.”
Before her relationship with Majors, Good was married to pastor DeVon Franklin. The couple divorced in 2021 after almost ten years of marriage.
