Marchand withdraws from Short Course Swimming Worlds Due to Exhaustion

Léon Marchand has announced that he will not be participating in the upcoming short course swimming world championships next month. The 22-year-old French swimmer, who won four Olympic gold medals at the Paris Olympics this summer, stated that he needs rest after a demanding year. Marchand explained that, having competed in numerous major events, he is feeling exhausted.

He emphasized that now is the time for him to take a step back, focus on training, and prepare for future challenges.

Marchand expressed excitement for what lies ahead and assured fans that they would understand his decision.

The short course world championships are set to take place from December 10-15 in Budapest, Hungary.
