Two cherished instruments belonging to members of the legendary rock band Heart were stolen last weekend from a venue in New Jersey, just as the group was preparing to launch their national tour. The band is now offering a reward for any information that leads to their return.
The theft occurred at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, where the band’s equipment had been set up ahead of the first show on the An Evening With Heart tour, scheduled for Saturday. The missing instruments include a custom-made purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar with a hand-painted headstock crafted specifically for guitarist Nancy Wilson, and a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, a piece Paul Moak has used for more than 25 years.
“These instruments aren’t just gear — they’re part of who we are as musicians,” Nancy Wilson shared in a statement. “We’re devastated. All we want is to have them returned safely — no questions asked. Their sentimental value is beyond measure.”
Heart, founded by sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson, has been making music since the 1970s and is known for iconic hits like “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You,” and “Alone.” The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2023.
