Former Formula 1 team owner and media personality Eddie Jordan revealed that he has been undergoing treatment for “quite aggressive” cancer. Speaking on his “Formula For Success” podcast, which he co-hosts with former driver David Coulthard, Jordan shared that he was diagnosed earlier this year. He encouraged listeners to seek medical advice for any health concerns.

Jordan explained that in March and April, he was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer, which later spread to his spine and pelvis, making it a particularly aggressive case. Reflecting on his treatment, he mentioned there were “very dark days,” but thankfully, he has managed to pull through.

Jordan, an Irish businessman, started with his own racing team in lower-tier series before entering Formula 1 in 1991, where he gave future seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher his first race. Over the years, his team also featured prominent drivers like 1996 F1 champion Damon Hill, Rubens Barrichello (who later raced for Ferrari), and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who finished third in the championship in 1999.

Jordan Grand Prix won four races before Eddie Jordan sold the team in 2005. After several changes in ownership and name, the team now competes under the Aston Martin name.

At 76 years old, Jordan also served as the manager for renowned car designer Adrian Newey when Newey left Red Bull to join Aston Martin earlier this year.
