Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds made their first joint red carpet appearance since their legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. The couple posed together at the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary special in New York City, with Lively wearing a glittering silver gown and Reynolds in a classic tuxedo. They were seen smiling and laughing as they walked down the red carpet.
During the special, Reynolds participated in a sketch hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, where they asked him how he was doing. Reynolds responded jokingly, “Great. Why? What have you heard?”
Lively and Baldoni’s legal troubles began in December when Lively filed a complaint and later a civil sexual harassment lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director. In the suit, Lively claimed that a meeting was held during filming to address a “hostile work environment” and that she had raised concerns about Baldoni’s alleged sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior.
Lively also accused Baldoni’s PR team of orchestrating a campaign to damage her reputation in retaliation for speaking out. Baldoni has denied the allegations and filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, in January. He also filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging that their report on Lively’s complaint was inaccurate.
A trial date has been set for March 2026.
The “Saturday Night Live” anniversary special is part of the ongoing celebrations for the show’s 50th anniversary, which kicked off this season. The special aired at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
