Amber Heard is expecting her second child, as confirmed by her spokesperson on Thursday. The 38-year-old actress, already a mother to 3-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige Heard, is said to be excited about the new addition to her family.
The spokesperson added that it is still early in the pregnancy, so they are not providing further details at this time, but emphasized that Amber is thrilled about the news, as is her daughter Oonagh.
Heard had previously revealed in July 2021 that she had quietly welcomed her first child three months earlier. She shared a photo on Instagram at the time, calling Oonagh the “beginning of the rest of my life.”
Amber Heard reflected on how groundbreaking it is for women to approach one of life’s most important milestones in their own way. She expressed her hope that society will eventually reach a point where it’s widely accepted for women to have children without needing to be married first.
Amber Heard has posted several pictures of herself with her daughter, Oonagh Paige, on Instagram.
On Oonagh’s first birthday, Heard expressed her amazement, saying she could hardly believe her daughter was already a year old and that it had been the “greatest year” with her.
Amber Heard was married to Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2017. Their relationship became the focus of a widely publicized defamation trial in 2022, where both actors accused each other of abuse. The trial ended with both winning damages, with Depp awarded over $10 million and Heard receiving $2 million.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard later reached a settlement, which Heard called a chance to “emancipate” herself from a situation she had tried to leave more than six years earlier, on terms she could accept. According to Depp’s lawyers, Heard agreed to pay $1 million, and Depp pledged to donate the amount to charity.
At the time, Johnny Depp’s attorneys stated, “We are pleased to officially close this painful chapter for Mr. Depp, who consistently made it clear that his main goal throughout this process was to reveal the truth.”
