Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed their third child together, a son named Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt. The baby was born on Friday, and the couple shared the happy news on social media on Monday. In their statement, they expressed their joy, saying, “Mama and baby are doing well, and Ford’s siblings are excited about his arrival. We feel so blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine and Chris.”

Pratt, 45, and Schwarzenegger, 34, who married in 2019, already have two daughters: Lyla Maria, 4, and Eloise Christina, 2. In addition to their new son, Pratt also has a 12-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris. The couple is known for keeping their family life private, often choosing not to share images of their children’s faces on social media.

In a 2021 appearance on the Today show with Hoda Kotb, Katherine Schwarzenegger explained that protecting her children’s privacy is very important to both her and her husband, Chris Pratt. She shared that they choose not to post much about their kids on social media in order to give them a sense of privacy as they grow up.

Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, shared that one of the greatest gifts her parents gave her and her siblings was the gift of privacy. She explained that growing up, they were able to have a normal childhood, develop their own identities, and choose how much public attention they wanted as they got older. She considered this to be an invaluable gift from her parents.

After getting engaged, Chris Pratt also spoke about his vision for the future, telling Entertainment Tonight that he hoped to have a large family with Katherine.

In January 2019, Chris Pratt shared his plans for the future, saying he envisioned having “lots of kids” and hoped to spend less time working and more time enjoying life.

During a 2023 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Pratt reflected on how he met his future wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. He recalled “sneaking some glances” at her during church, and described how, when things are meant to happen, they just do. “God has a fast-forward button,” Pratt said. “When it’s right — boom! — you fall in love, get married, and now we have two beautiful daughters added to my family. It feels really great.”
