Jannik Sinner, the world’s top-ranked player, continued his dominant run at the French Open by defeating No. 62 Alexander Bublik 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 on Wednesday to reach the semifinals.

Sinner, who was runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz at Roland-Garros last year, required just 1 hour and 49 minutes to overcome Bublik, who had earlier upset No. 5 seed Jack Draper.

Throughout the tournament, Sinner has yet to drop a set and has lost only 36 games in five matches over the past week and a half. Against Bublik, he maintained an impressive level of play, hitting 31 winners while committing just 13 unforced errors.

Sinner will face either Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, or No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev—last year’s finalist in Paris—in the semifinals on Friday.

The other semifinal match features No. 2 seed Carlos Alcaraz against No. 8 Lorenzo Musetti, who both secured their spots earlier Tuesday.

At 23 years old, Sinner has already claimed three Grand Slam titles, including the 2023 U.S. Open and the 2024 Australian Open, extending his winning streak at major tournaments to 19 matches.

He also made history as the first Italian man to reach six Grand Slam semifinals.
