As tensions between India and Pakistan continue to rise, major Indian airlines have issued advisories to passengers regarding potential flight delays and cancellations. IndiGo, Akasa Air, Air India, and SpiceJet have all reported operational disruptions and increased security protocols affecting travel across the country.
IndiGo informed passengers that flights may be delayed or canceled due to “unforeseen operational reasons” and advised travelers to verify their flight status on the airline’s website or through customer service before heading to the airport.
Akasa Air highlighted stricter security at all Indian airports and urged passengers to arrive at least three hours before departure. The airline also reminded travelers to carry valid government-issued photo ID and adhere to baggage limits—specifically one handbag up to 7 kg. All passengers will undergo additional security checks before boarding. Akasa encouraged travelers to use its website or mobile app for online check-in to help streamline the process.
Air India confirmed that several domestic flights are experiencing delays due to operational challenges. The airline said efforts are underway to reduce the impact on passengers and issued an apology for the inconvenience caused.
SpiceJet echoed similar advice, asking passengers to arrive early in light of the enhanced airport security procedures.
All carriers advised passengers to stay updated by checking flight statuses and to plan extra time for check-in and security clearance. Travelers were also encouraged to consider alternative arrangements if needed.
