Late Thursday night, eight missiles were launched from Pakistan targeting areas including Satwari, Samba, Ranbir Singh Pura, and Arnia. However, Indian air defence systems successfully intercepted all incoming missiles, according to defence sources.
India’s advanced S-400 missile defence systems played a key role in detecting and neutralizing the threats, which were primarily aimed at regions in Jammu and Udhampur.
In response to the increasing cross-border aggression, India carried out a retaliatory drone strike on Lahore. This action came after a series of drone attacks by Pakistan in Rajasthan and other nearby border zones, prompting heightened security measures along India’s frontlines.
Additionally, India shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet and two JF-17 aircraft. A suicide attack attempt in Rajouri was also thwarted by security forces.
The Integrated Defence Staff confirmed that military bases in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur—located near the international border in Jammu & Kashmir—were targeted using both missiles and drones. The attacks caused no damage, and Indian forces neutralized all threats using both kinetic and non-kinetic measures, following established protocols.
