Arizona State has hired Molly Miller from Grand Canyon University (GCU) as its new women’s basketball coach.

Miller replaces Natasha Adair, who was let go after compiling a 29-62 record over three seasons at Arizona State.

At GCU, Miller had a highly successful tenure, guiding the Lopes to their first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championship and NCAA Tournament appearance this season. The team entered the tournament with a 30-game winning streak before being eliminated by Baylor in the first round.

In five seasons at GCU, Miller posted a 117-38 record, including a program-best 32-3 record this year.

GCU’s athletic director, Jamie Boggs, expressed gratitude toward Miller for her leadership, saying in a statement, “We would like to thank Coach Molly Miller for leading our program for five seasons, culminating in the first conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance for women’s basketball. We wish her the best in her new opportunity.”

Before her time at GCU, Miller coached at her alma mater, Drury University, where she achieved an impressive 180-17 record over six seasons.
