Belichick, now the head coach at North Carolina, attended the awards show with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
While age differences in relationships are not typically a major topic, the fact that Belichick is 72 years old made his choice of date a point of humor. The jokes quickly circulated on social media, and even the show’s host, Snoop Dogg, poked fun at the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach during his opening monologue. For added comedy, Snoop also threw some playful shade at the Dallas Cowboys.
