For the second time this week, a sex toy was thrown onto the court during a WNBA game.

During the third quarter of the Golden State Valkyries’ 73-66 win over the Chicago Sky, footage showed the object lying out of bounds under the basket after a whistle stopped play. An official quickly kicked it aside, and it was then removed from the court.

Sky center Elizabeth Williams called the act “super disrespectful” in a postgame press conference. “I don’t really get the point of it. It’s really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up,” she said.

A similar incident had taken place earlier in the week during the Valkyries’ 77-75 victory over the Atlanta Dream in College Park, Georgia.

Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini described the earlier event as “super dangerous” and admitted the team laughed after discovering what the object was. “I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in, we stayed concentrated,” she said after Tuesday’s game.

New York Liberty forward Isabelle Harrison also spoke out on social media about the incidents. On X, she called out arena security, writing: “ARENA SECURITY?! Hello??! Please do better. It’s not funny. Never was funny. Throwing ANYTHING on the court is so dangerous.”
